Alien Workshop's Photosynthesis
Finally, after over year of
hype, Photosynthesis is out, and it was worth the wait. This video is
probably one of the greatest videos I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot
of videos. The video features Anthony Van Engelen, Anthony
Pappalardo, Rob Dyrdek, Pat Cocoran, Josh Kalis, and Jason Dill, with a
section featuring the Habitat team, Workshops sister company.
The video starts of with a great intro to set the mood of the video,
and then comes Anthony Van Engelen whose part is fast paced and gets you
hyped up. Then comes Anthony Pappalardo, whose part is mellow, smooth,
and tech. He skates Love park and New York with total control and it
shows through his skating. Next comes Pat Cocoran, the handrail killer.
Bringing east coast style to the hand rails, has a quick part, but makes
a point. Next, one of the best parts, Rob Dyrdek's. Set to on of his
label's groups, Mood, he kills picnic tables, handrails, ledges and his
very own skatepark. His part will get you hyped to skate.
Next comes the Habitat segment where each rider gets their very own
part. Kerry kicks it off with some tech mixed in with handrails and big
sets. Then Rob Pluhowski, who makes his mark in the video with some
great switch flips and nice style. After that is Mark Appleyard, whose
part you should already know is amazing. He nollie backside heels over a
handrail among many other things. Next is Fred Gal whose part was not exactly
my favorite but definitely was impressive. Next is Danny
Garcia, who recently made the move from west coast to the East and
brought his style with him. One highlight being a nollie flip noseslide
and Hubba. This kid needs to turn pro. Next is Tim O' Connor, who just
skates everything with that signature style and does an amazing kickflip
down the love gap. Then comes Brian Wenning, this part is probably one
of the greatest skate parts ever done. You will be rewinding to his part
over and over again just in awe. He outshines most of the team with
Switch flips down 12 stairs and so much more. His part was very long but
very good.
Then it goes back to workshop where Kalis makes a video part to
remember. Switch frontside heel big spin and nollie inward heels of a
ramp of a trash can, you can tell his been skating hard. This was really
a highlight. And then, to finish it off, is probably the most artistic
video part I have ever seen, Jason Dill's. Its one of the only video
parts in a skate video that you can call just beautiful. The skating, the
style, everything come together to make an amazing part.
One of my favorite parts of the video was the editing. The way the
did the video was great and the hard effort and time spent really shows.
This is video is definitely worth the $20, I'd say even more. But go out
and get it.
